A WWI memorial tablet in St Michael's church, Shirley, consisting of tall limestone tablet in the style of a grave headstone. The top has a design in relief comprising a gilded crown above crossed rifles with gilded bayonets over a botonee cross flanked by laurel sprays. The inscription reads:
To the Glory of God
and
In Honour of our Soldier Boys
Who Died in the Great War
To serve the right & destroy the wrong
