Mission

OKC Beautiful: Enhancing the image and appearance of Oklahoma City through education, programs and community engagement.
Vision

Oklahoma City is a vibrant community where citizens practice environmentally sustainable lifestyles and nurture economic growth through our programs.
Philosophy

OKC Beautiful believes the appearance of our city directly impacts its economic viability as well as affecting the quality of life and self-image of its residents.
Board of Directors

A board of directors governs OKC Beautiful. Members of the volunteer board are committed to raise operating funds, serve on the Advocacy/Awareness, Beautification, Fundraising or Marketing committee, and attend events and board meetings. Committees meet monthly and are responsible for overseeing all programs.
History

In 1962, the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce organized a beautification committee. This group expanded to become the Mayor's Committee for City Beautification, appointed and organized by Mayor James H. Norick with the assistance of the Chamber. A new organization was formed to meet the committee's goals, and on March 26, 1971 was incorporated as Oklahoma City Beautiful Inc. as the only nonprofit organization dedicated to the beautification of Oklahoma City.
Funding

OKC Beautiful's major funding source is private donations from citizens and local businesses dedicated to improving the image and appearance of the community. Foundation grants, special events, endowments and other sources of income provide funds for OKC Beautiful's operating expenses and programs. OKC Beautiful does not receive funds from city, state or federal government.
