[FR] Luynes est une commune du département d'Indre-et-Loire. Son Hôtel de Ville est situé Place des Victoires. Le bâtiment est constitué de pierre de tuffeau blanc de Touraine. La fenêtre centrale du premier étage est surmonté d'une pierre gravée du blason de Luynes. Une horloge surmonte le bâtiment.
Les armes de Luynes se blasonnent ainsi :
Écartelé : au premier et au quatrième d'or au lion de gueules, au deuxième et au troisième à deux louves ravissantes et affrontées d'argent, sur le tout de gueules à la massue d'or, armée de piquetons d'argent et dressée en pal, au chef du même chargé d'un gonfanon de deux pendants de gueules.
Il s'agissait des armes de Charles d'Albert, premier duc de Luynes au XVIIème siècle.
[EN] Luynes is a town in the department of Indre-et-Loire. Its Town Hall is located at Place des Victoires. The building is made of white tufa stone from Touraine. The central window of the first floor is surmounted by a stone engraved with the coat of arms of Luynes. A clock tops the building.
The arms of Luynes are emblazoned as follows:
Quarterly: first and fourth Or, a lion Gules, second and third, two she-wolves ravishing and facing Argent, over all Gules with a club Or, armed with spikes Argent and erected in pale, a chief of the same charged with a gonfanon of two pendants Gules.
These were the arms of Charles d'Albert, first Duke of Luynes in the 17th century.
