"The memorial column of the 8th R.I. on the Grebbeberg Military Field of Honour in Rhenen is a concrete memorial column, on which the names of the fallen soldiers are engraved. In the column a certificate has been cemented.
The text on the column reads:
'DEN VADERLANT GHETROUWE'.
The text on the certificate reads:
'8th REGIMENT INFANTERY.
NAMES OF THOSE WHO FELL
FOR THE FATHERLAND
10 - 15 MAY 1940'.
Below are the names of 208 victims."
