The Arcade Hotel Mural in Ponca City highlights the 1920s hotel and guests who frequently stayed there, including E.W. Marland of Marland Oil, Will Rogers and the Miller Brothers, who founded the 101 Ranch and Wild West Show. This hotel once contained 100 rooms spread across three floors. Sadly, time took its toll and the hotel was demolished in 1973.
Local children Freddie Boettcher and Polly Vanselous Edwards of the Big “V” Ranch Family and Lew Wentz (who lived in a suite at the motel) are also featured in the mural. Also shown are vintage cars like a Buick convertible, a Marland Oil delivery truck, a La Salle, and a Pierce Arrow.
