NL / BE Dak- en thuislozen leven vaak lange tijd op straat of gaan van plek naar plek. Maar het komt ook voor dat mensen onverwachts hun woning dreigen te verliezen. Het Leger des Heils heeft voor al deze mensen maatschappelijke opvanglocaties door heel Nederland. Ook organiseren wij crisisopvang voor mensen die wegens omstandigheden ineens geen woonplek meer hebben.

De laagdrempeligheid in de opvang zorgt ervoor dat kwetsbare, zorg mijdende mensen, beter in beeld blijven. De mensen in de maatschappelijke opvang worden door het Leger des Heils begeleid. Doel is dat zij op zo kort mogelijke termijn doorstromen naar andere vormen van hulp, een eigen woonplek en werk/dagbesteding.


US / UK Homeless people often live on the streets for a long time or move from place to place. But it also happens that people unexpectedly risk losing their home. The Salvation Army has social shelter locations throughout the Netherlands for all these people. We also organize crisis shelters for people who, due to circumstances, suddenly no longer have a place to live.

The low-threshold nature of the shelter ensures that vulnerable, care-avoiding people remain in the picture. The people in social shelter are supervised by the Salvation Army. The aim is for them to move on to other forms of help, their own place to live and work/daytime activities as soon as possible.
