"The monument for those missing in May '40 on the Grebbeberg Military Field of Honour in Rhenen (

The plaque bears an image of the Dutch lion and the names of 138 people who fell in the May Days of 1940: 102 soldiers of the Royal Netherlands Army and 36 soldiers of the Royal Netherlands Navy.
The text on the plaque reads:
'IN MEMORY OF THE FALLEN
IN THE MAY DAYS OF 1940
OF WHICH NO GRAVE LOCATION IS KNOWN'.
The central plaque rests on five pieces of stone symbolizing the five days of resistance in May 1940. The number five is also reflected in the plaques below the plaque. These depict the five years of domination and liberation on the fifth day of the fifth month. The plaques are 4 high and 4 meters 50 wide. These dimensions represent the years 1940-'45. A piece has been cut out of one of the slabs so that the ground level is visible. This symbolizes the grave that was never found."
