About the planetenpad:

"The ten kilometer long Planetenpad of Halley Observatory is a scale model of our solar system. The scale is 1:600,000,000 (1 meter = 600,000 kilometers).
Ten white columns along routes of the bicycle junction network of the Tourist Office in Northeast Brabant mark the positions of the eight planets, the dwarf planet Ceres in the asteroid belt and the dwarf planet Pluto. In each column the (dwarf) planet is represented by a steel sphere or sphere, also on the scale of the planetary path. Cyclists and hikers who follow the Planetenpad all the way will get a good impression of the immense size of our solar system and the insignificance of the sun and the planets.
The cycling junctions are numbered and signposted. The Planetenpad largely follows the cycle junction network. Where this is not the case, the route is signposted with 'Planetenpad' signs."
