About 10 kilometres north along Highway 33 from Rock Creek is a hill of rock on the east side of the highway. Running past the base of that rock hill is the KVR Rail Trail, with 419J monumented near the base of the hill to the west of the rail trail.
The easiest way to access 419J is to park at a gate into the field surrounding the rock hill, which is at its north end. Go through the gate then follow the trail downhill to the northeast, then east, then south to the coordinates. 419J can be seen in the rock face across a ditch to the west of the rail trail.
