[FIN] 13.2.1918 23-vuotias Artturi Kerttula oli ajamassa kirkkoreellä Uuteenkaupunkiin hoitamaan Haaron sahan asioita. Laitilan keskustassa punaiset ottivat hänet kiinni, ja kolme punaista lähti viemään Kerttulaa takaisin Leinmäkeä kohti. Sillantaan ja Malvon välillä maantien varrella Kerttula surmattiin ampumalla niskaan ja pistämällä rintaan.

[EN] On February 13, 1918, 23-year-old Artturi Kerttula was driving on the church road to Uusikaupunki to handle the affairs of the Haaro sawmill. In the center of Laitila, the Reds caught him, and the three Reds went to take Kerttula back towards Leinmäki. Between Sillanta and Malvo along the roads, Kerttula was killed by shooting in the neck and stabbing in the chest.
The stone of the Artturi Kerttula monument, located along Malvontie, comes from the forest of Venno. It has been hacked by Samuel Leino from Leinmäki. The monument was unveiled in 1925. The letters AK and the date of death are engraved on the monument.
