Direct naast de kerktoren van de Hervormde Kerk te Polsbroek is het hek naar het kerkhof. Op het hek staan de woorden memento mori of gedenk te sterven. Volgens online-begraafplaatsen.nl zijn er in het kerkhof ca. 250 graven. Centraal in het kerkhof bevindt zich een graf en gedenkmonument voor Cees (of Cornelis) Mourik; het enige oorlogsslachtoffer uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog van Polsbroek. Cees was een lid van het Verzet en is omgekomen bij een oefening door een per ongeluk afgegane stengun. Cees is geboren in 1921 en gestorven op 29 mei 1945.

Right next to the church tower of the Reformed Church in Polsbroek is the gate to the cemetery. On the fence are the words memento mori or remember to die. According to online-begraafplaatsen.nl there are about 250 graves in the cemetery. In the center of the cemetery is a grave and memorial to Cees (or Cornelis) Mourik; Polsbroek's only war victim from the Second World War. Cees was a member of the Resistance and was killed during an exercise by an accidentally detonated sten gun. Cees was born in 1921 and died on May 29, 1945.
