An exemplary worker is buried with his work card in recognition of his merits, but his widow cannot collect his pension without that document. The deceased's nephew goes through amazing adventures to retrieve the card from the grave of his uncle. "A coffin blow on the ground is something perfectly serious," wrote Antonio Machado, and it is as long as the corpse does not drag its identity documents with it in the middle of a bureaucratic whirlpool, because then the absurd is unleashed.
