These concrete basketball half courts are located at the intersection of S. 2nd Street and W. Minnesota Avenue just north of a complex of old school buildings. There are four practice courts, surrounded by 8 ft. chain link fences. The baskets have chain nets.
The courts were built in 1939, by the WPA, the same year as the school to the south. In various places on the court, at the corners and junctions of slabs, are WPA shields with the year 1939 stamped into the concrete. The courts still appear to be in use.
