Information provided by Gail Bland, Director of the Rogers Historical Museum: >b>The building currently used as City Hall was built in 1978 or 1979 for the Farmers and Merchants Bank (they are at that location by the 1979 phone book) and enlarged and extensively redesigned in about 2001 or 2002 as a home for PB2, an architectural firm. I'm not sure which architect with the firm did the actual design, but I'm pretty certain they did it inhouse.

Prior to the City moving into this building major administrative offices (the Mayor's office, City Clerk, treasurer) and Council chambers were in the building at the SE corner of Third and Poplar now used by Benton County. That building was originally built about 1950 as the Masonic Youth Center to provide recreational opportunities for area young people, especially teens. Other offices were located in another former Farmers and Merchants bank building on South Second Street and in the 1929 City Hall at 212 West Elm. That structure was designed by the noted local architect A.O. Clarke, and a later addition for the Fire Department on the east side was designed by Belle Dinwiddie.
