The Town of Point Leamington erected this war Memorial in 1985. It remembers the two world wars and the Korean conflict. All of the three individuals listed on the memorial died in the First World War.

Pte. Frederick Bennett Rice is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery.

Pte. Eli Saunders is commemorated on the bronze beneath the Caribou Monument in the Newfoundland Memorial Park at Beaumont-Hamel.

Cpl. Nelson Sherran was first reported as missing in action during the fighting at Monchy-le-Preux in April 1917.
