"Sitting on the west side of Munsterplein very pleasant, three people on a bench to see everything that happens before their eyes to look at. It's The City People: they are life size and made of bronze.
About the artist:
Artist Sjer Jacobs (Tegelen, 1963) exhibited 'The City People' in 2001 during an art event organized by the Foundation Art Route Roermond in Roermond. After this manifestation, the images have been purchased by the city council. After, among other things, training in Venlo (Free Academy) and Maastricht (City Academy) Sjer Jacobs established himself as a free visual artist in Tegelen, where he had his own studio began. His figurative images, executed in the most diverse materials, because of their recognizability and character traits loved by a very large audience."
