Memorial Park is located within the heart of the Village of Keremeos and draws its name from the Cenotaph located at the northern portion. It offers a playground and a splash pad, a large gazebo with picnic tables, Age-Friendly Outdoor Exercise Park added in 2016, swimming pool, a community kitchen for hosting pancake breakfasts and public washrooms. Memorial Park accommodates large public events on an annual basis, including the
Similkameen Sizzle Pepper Festival and the
Kars Under the K Classic Car Show and Shine. The Visitor Information Centre and the Keremeos Senior Centre are near, as in right beside, the park.
Beside the visitor centre and the playground one will find the Splash Pad. A concrete pad, it is surrounded by a large border of fine sand. The concrete pad has a single large multi-outlet spray nozzle offset to one side, while at the south end are a lower spray nozzle and a fountain-like structure with several water outlets and nozzles. It's sort of a weird structure, unlike anything else we've seen in a splash pad and a bit enigmatic in how it works.
