Monument to the Peasant, although little known by its other peculiar name called Monument to Fertility. This peculiar monument was one of the first works of our famous César Manrique, and was built in homage to the hard work in the fields of the farmers and peasants of Lanzarote. The Monument to the Peasant has a curiosity in his work because it was built with the large water tanks (reservoirs) of the old fishing boats that worked in Lanzarote.
