Skarsvåg, near the North Cape, is the northernmost fishing village in the world.
Cod and giant crabs are mainly fished.

There are about 60 inhabitants who live around the fishing port. In addition to fishing, there is also a café, a Christmas shop, a hotel and a few campsites.
