This 6 and 3/4 acre cemetery is located on Cemetery Road. The cemetery currently contains approximately 1700 graves per Find-a-Grave. I believe it is called Layton Cemetery after the the Layton family - a prominent family in the area that sent a member to the U.S. House of Representatives.
The cemetery has an arch at the entrance the reads: Layton Cemetery. The cemetery is on a hill so the road gently rises to the top of the hill. There are few trees within the cemetery. The older headstones are towards the top of the hill towards the eastern side of the cemetery.
