The Gipslöcher or "Gypsum holes" are a geological formation of deep holes in a soft Gypsum rock layer near the alpine resort town of Lech. It is a Nature Preserve and has several species of orchid and other special flora.

The holes were formed in a "karst" like process in which ground water seeped into the gypsum layer and followed cracks widening them into caves/chambers. The caves then collapsed forming the holes.

There is a educational path which leads through the area with interpretive signs in German.

This makes a nice 1/2 day hike from the town of Lech when combined with a ride up/down the chair lift.
