Dye Sprancke is a flour mill on the Oudestraat in Sprang. It is a closed post mill from originally 1747. The mill is covered with roofing felt and has a flight of 26 meters. On April 4, 1855, the Sprang mill burned down and the current mill in Vrijhoeve-Capelle was purchased as a replacement. The windmill's upper shaft that was used in the rebuilding was made by the Nederlandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij (NSbM) Fyenoord. In 1958 the mill became the property of the then municipality of Sprang-Capelle. Since then, the mill has been restored several times and is capable of grinding. Grain is milled for consumption flour on a voluntary basis.
Dye Spranke is owned by the municipality of Waalwijk and has the status of a national monument. The mill can be visited on Saturdays from 13:00 to 17:00 and when the mill is running.

What does a close mill mean?
The mill is of the closed type. This means that the base has a hood and the umbrella and the dice are walled, creating storage space and protecting the standing work from the weather.
