This brass plate with inscription is fastened to the wall north of the junction of Well Street and Station Road. It reads:

DOCKING R.D. COUNCIL THIS TOWER WAS BUILT 1928-29 THE WELL - 212 FEET DEEP - WAS THE GIFT OF CATHERINE HENRY (NEE HARE) AD 1760 Original Inscription over Well "O Ye Wells Bless Ye the Lord." "With Thee is the Well of Life."

The tower and well are no longer in existence.
