Présentation

Ce moulin à vent en briques et pierres bleues a été bâti sous Napoléon 1er en 1816. Il produisait de la farine et était rattaché à la brasserie voisine. A l'extérieur, le lifting est total grâce à la nouvelle coiffe du moulin : une calotte montée sur un mécanisme qui permet une rotation à 360 degrés des ailes actionnant les meules de pierre destinées à moudre le grain, sa fonction première. Leur farine moulue et bio est disponible sur place mais aussi dans quelques magasins de la commune de Couvin.

This brick and blue stone windmill was built under Napoleon I in 1816. It produced flour and was attached to the neighboring brewery. On the outside, the facelift is complete thanks to the new mill cover: a cap mounted on a mechanism that allows 360-degree rotation of the wings actuating the stone grindstones intended to grind the grain, its primary function. Their ground and organic flour is available on site but also in a few shops in the town of Couvin.
