According to its website, "The Outsiders House Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the home and memorabilia used in The Outsiders, filmed by Francis Ford Coppola in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1982."
This movie had a cast of future stars like Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Diane Lane, C. Thomas Howell, Ralph Macchio, Emilio Estevez and Tom Waits. The Outsiders was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. A young Sofia Coppola has a small role, and today she is known for her directorial talent.
A scene inside this house, which is home to Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell), Darrel Curtis (Patrick Swayze), and Sodapop Curtis (Rob Lowe), shows many of the characters together, joking around. The recreated scene shows Darrel Curtis leaving the house, on his way to work.
