The statue is of 3 pigs (real size). One of them is sitting and 2 are standing. One of the 2 standing pigs is on a pedestal (15 cm high).

"The bronze statue of pigs was made in 1987 by Kees Bos. He was a painter, groomer, artist and museum director. He passed away in 2002. Much of his work can be found in his museum, nature diorama Holterberg. The pigs were created because of the opening of the town hall of Holten. In 2010 the pigs were temporarily removed from the square due to a redevelopment of the area. In 2011, the pigs were reinstated."
