A big fountain with a large pool fills the southern corner of Spanish Springs Town Square in The Villages, Florida. Water cascades from six spouts equally spaced along the top edge of two perpendicularly paired walls ten feet tall. The southwestern wall is about 30 feet long with four window openings and the southeastern about 50 feet long with five openings. The pool is about two feet deep, has an area of several hundred square feet, and is bound by two steps along the non-walled portion which faces the interior of the public square.
A timber pergola with flowering vines runs the exterior length of the walls. The posts and beams create a space about ten feet deep and ten feet tall. A series of park benches run beneath the pergola and face inwards towards the fountain views.
