North Creek Mosaic Project - North Creek, NY - Mosaics on Waymarking.com

Artist Kate Hartley saw the large concrete retaining wall on Main Street in North Creek as a canvas for a unique, large-scale art project. Colored tiles and stones now line 180 of sidewalk up to 11 feet high. The images depict the outdoors and recreation common in the Adirondacks. The mosaic is one of the largest pieces of public art in the North Country thanks to ten years of the vision and efforts of Hartley and nearly 2000 volunteers.
