Ripley is located in southeastern Payne County, about 10 miles northwest of Cushing. This is a small farming community with businesses in the former downtown area all vacant and in disrepair.

The fire station is located at 203 Morton Avenue (OK Highway 108). It consists of three metal buildings. The northernmost is a one-story white with red trim metal building with a gabled roof which has one wide overhead door. Attached on the south is a small metal building housing the offices of the fire department and the town hall. To the south of this, separated by a narrow grass area is a newer red metal building with three vehicle bays. We were unable to determine the size of the department. We did note that photos on their website show 8 or 9 firefighters.
