"Hillcrest Cemetery was the original "city cemetery" of Canton, Van Zandt County, Texas. It is on the original 1850 town plat. However, the earliest known burial is that of Ann Calhoon who died in 1860.

Three sides of the cemetery are currently fenced in black metal fencing. Efforts on underway to complete the fencing."
