This sign is one of the two Signs of History on the Martins church in the old part of Chur.

Text on the Sign:
"
St. Martinsplatz.

"
St. Martinsplatz. It is located in the oldest part of the city
Chur, in the middle between the upper and lower gate,
and is thus part of the historic inner-city
north-south connection. That is dominated
Square from St. Martin's Church. The largest late
Graubünden's gothic complex was built after the
City fire of 1464 under reuse
from parts of the Carolingian predecessor building.
As a special ornament, the church has since
1919 three stained glass windows by the important artist
Augusto Giacometti. The Martinsbrunnen
dated from 1716. Its basin is adorned with various signs of the zodiac. Except for the sign holder
and column is the fountain in its original state.
