This church was built in the 12th century but today's look came around 1400. The foundations is made of granite and the walls have been plastered with white lime.
The church was consecrated to Saint Olof, who is Norway's national saint. During a restoration in the early 1950s a sandstone block from a demolished medieval altar turned out on closer inspection to contain
a hidden piece of linen fabric and an inscription strip of parchment with a Latin text as translated read: "the shirt of the holy king and martyr Olof"
The baptismal font is from 1940 made by Ralf Bergholz and is made of oak some metal parts is from the 16th century.
The organ was built in 1963 by ”directeur Strands orgelbyggeri" in Stockholm.
