It was built at the initiative of Antonio Fernández, who emigrated to Argentina and better known in Ribadeo as Antonio de los Enanos. This property is a typical example of construction inspired by autochthonous elements, reflected, for example, in the square tower reminiscent of that of the pazos and in the decorative sobriety. However, it incorporates modern shapes and trends, such as the garden or the opening to the outside with large windows and balconies.
The pinnacles of the tower, the strong eaves existing in the building, the use of cement on the balconies, the appearance of solidity given by the use of octohedral volumes, the ashlar plinth, the absence of curves, the sobriety of the colors and other details contribute to demonstrate the success, power, security and economic stability that many Indians wanted to demonstrate with their houses.
