This house, with the air of an urban villa, was built in 1910 by order of the Lanza family. The structure and decoration refer to an eclectic architecture, with elements from very diverse origins, in which the modernist ornamentation stands out: curved shapes and fine wrought iron work on windows and balconies. The tower, designed to show the social position of the owners, the interplay of forms on the façade and the garden reveal the influence of the French-made chalets, so frequent in European capitals and, by extension, in the American ones.
Inside the house, wood was used extensively, both for slabs and the structure of the ceilings as well as in the baseboards of several rooms, in addition to plastering most of the brick partitions with plaster mortar.
