The town of Ingalls is a ghost tow about 11 miles east of Stillwater. With about 150 people in town, and no commercial business at all, fire protection for the town is provided by nearby Stillwater.
The fire station in Ingalls is a one-story metal building with a gabled roof. There are six vehicle bays. The only signage at this location is a granite panel standing on the ground in front of the building which reads: "Ingalls Rural Fire District." We were unable to find out if there are residents of Ingalls who are volunteer firefighters. The number of volunteers online is shown as 24, which might be referring to the Stillwater department. We did find a typed paper showing the monthly meeting dates in 2020 for the department meetings. They are at 7:00pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
The firehouse is located on East 19th Street which was once the main street of this town. Ingalls has the infamous name of being an "outlaw town" as it was once the hangout for gangs such as the Dalton and Doolin gangs. Today, the town consists of three derelict wood structures.
