Hillcrest Cemetery, final rest to about five thousand souls, is north of Florence. The cemetery hosts a veterans monument and has a few unusual grave markers, including one where three hundred Russian Mennonites who died in a smallpox epidemic in 1875 were buried in a mass grave.
