"The outer wall of the Narón auditorium has become a reference to gender equality, at least as far as the image is concerned. Representatives of more than a dozen associations with a presence in the municipality yesterday seconded the initiative of the Council which, with the help of local artist Leandro Lamas, consisted of the realization of a mural that is still in the process of being carried out. The work began with the silhouetting of the images, by the painter, and the collaboration of a group of people who for a few hours in the afternoon had the opportunity to enjoy, using paint and brush, the satisfaction that most people produce. of creative demonstrations.
From now on, bright colors and rounded figures - the main characteristics of Lamas' work - have already become the art reference for gender equality.
The organization was carried out by the Department of Equality and the celebration of the event is part of the programming of the commemorative events of March 8, International Day of Muller.
Among other participants, as reported by the Narón Council, members of the Association of Mulleres Ferrerías, of the neighborhood entities of San Xiao, Freixeiro, O Val, A Solaina and Virxe do Mar as well as the Third Age group de Pedroso, the Terra de Trasancos Foundation, the Sociocultural Association for the Disabled and the Xitano Secretariat Foundation. Representatives of the Bbtta breastfeeding support group and the As Regueifas Association were also involved in the initiative, the latter with a presence in the O Feal parish."

The mural presents us with a tree as if it were a balance and in which a man and a woman are in balance. It is made with round strokes and only four colors: pink, green, blue and gold. It looks like a child's drawing.
