The statue is officially called Feeërie, but the name De Heerlijkheid is also in vogue, while the children refer to it as the 'Fruit Tree'.
"The tree symbolizes the richness of nature, but also of education. When children receive a good education, it is a source of wealth for later life, from which they constantly draw and in turn pass on to subsequent generations." (from the school guide).
