Transformatortårn nummer 100 blev opført i 1940 for at forsyne en tysk flyveplads. Transformer sub-station tower number 100 was erected in 1940 to provide power for a German airfield.

På ses dette gamle transformatortårn i røde mursten. Tårnet blev opført i sommeren 1940 på bestilling af den tyske værnemagt. Der skulle bruges strøm til den flyveplads der blev etableret tæt på i Knivholt. Det var elektricitesværket i Hjørring der producerede strømmen. Efter krigen blev tårnet ikke længere brugt, men i 1961 blev det atter taget i brug.
Tårnet er ikke længere i brug og ejes i dag af Slægts- lokalhistorisk forening i Frederikshavn.

At this old transformer sub-station tower built of red bricks. The tower was built in 1940 according to orders from the German occupying forces. Power was needed for the nearby airfield close to Knivholt. It was the electricity company in Hjørring who produced the power. After the war the station was no longer in use until 1961 where the tower active again in the local area.
Today the tower is no longer in use. It is now owned by the Historical Society in Frederikshavn.
