The Airmen's Monument in Dronten is the propeller of the British Lancaster ED 357 of the 12th squadron. Behind the propeller is a memorial wall with a bricked-in plaque. The monument is 2 meters 50 high and 2 meters 50 wide.
The text on the plaque reads:
'IN MEMORY
OF THE FALLEN ALLIED
ALLIED PILOTS
1940 - 1945'.
The propeller of the British bomber symbolizes the countless planes that were shot down by the occupying forces during World War II.
