Page 7-"Most of the few late nineteenth century buildings featuring Romanesque detailing are located north of Lexington Street. Among these buildings are the Vansant Building (210 East Lexington Street), the Manufacturers' Record Building (218-220 East Lexington Street), and 216 North Calvert Street. These buildings feature some architectural details that are unusual for the district including projecting bay windows, rough stone band courses, grotesque heads, corbelled brick work, and intricately carved stone decorations."
