"Miño-Castro is a railway stop located in the Spanish municipality of Miño in the province of La Coruña, autonomous community of Galicia. It has medium distance services operated by Renfe.
It is located at kilometer 13.7 of the Iberian gauge railway that connects Betanzos with Ferrol at an altitude of 22 meters, between the Betanzos-Ciudad and Perbes stations. The section is single track and is not electrified.
History
The station was inaugurated on May 5, 1913 with the opening of the Betanzos - Ferrol line by the State, which had to take charge of the construction of the line when the various auctions that were held were deserted. For this reason It was the First Technical and Administrative Division of Railways that was in charge of managing the line at first until its transfer in 1928 to the Compañía Nacional de los Ferrocarriles del Oeste, after passing through MZOV. In 1941, with the railway nationalization in Spain, the station began to be managed by RENFE.
Since December 31, 2004, Adif has been the owner of the railway facilities.
It has medium-distance services that cover the La Coruña-Ferrol route at a rate of five connections per direction on weekdays, which are reduced to four on weekends and holidays."
