This obelisk is a World War monument at Updike Park in Wickford Village, North Kingstown, Rhode Island. It was placed in 1928 to honor those who served in the Army and Navy and those who died while in the military service from 1917 through 1919. A cast bronze, shield-shaped plaque on the east side reads:
