Lyngsmose befästning
Lyngsmose befästning är en befäst järnåldersby på västra Jylland i Danmark från cirka 100 f.kr. Byns konturer avtecknade sig på en åkermark vid en flygfotografering 1977. Byn undersöktes arkeologiskt 1999-2002 och man fann då en vall som varit pallisadbeklädd, en omgivande vallgrav med spetsiga uppstickande träpinnar i dess botten samt 15 långhus innanför vallen. Vallen hade fyra portar åt vardera väderstreck. Vallen och husens placering har nu markerats med torvblock och ett område har avsatts för att möjliggöra för besökare.

Lyngsmose fortification
Lyngsmose fortification is a fortified Iron Age village in western Jutland in Denmark from around 100 BC. The contours of the village were marked on arable land during an aerial photograph in 1977. The village was archaeologically examined in 1999-2002 and a dike that was covered with palisade was found, a surrounding moat with pointed protruding wooden sticks in its bottom and 15 longhouses inside the dike. The dike had four gates to each direction. The embankment and the location of the houses have now been marked with peat blocks and an area has been set aside to enable visitors.
