FR Les bornes-fontaines Bayard sont des appareils de fontainerie fabriqués par l'entreprise Bayard. Ce sont des curiosités des lieux publics.
La société Bayard breveta le mécanisme de la fontaine à tourniquet en 1901 à Lyon.
Ces bornes-fontaines sont très répandues. On en trouve dans des cimetières, les stades et espaces verts, ... Fabriquées en fontes, on les trouve deux modèles :
* avec commande à volant horizontal (pompes) ;
* avec commande à bouton rond à droite, près du sommet.

Le mécanisme est constitué de deux masselottes entrainées par la force centrifuge du volant qui soulève le clapet du réseau d'eau potable. La pression de ces canalisations fait ainsi monter l'eau au robinet.

L'eau distribuée est universellement potable.
EN Bayard standpipes are fountains made by Bayard. These are curiosities of public places.
The Bayard company patented the mechanism of the turnstile fountain in 1901 in Lyon.
These standpipes are widespread. It is found in cemeteries, stadiums and green areas, ... Manufactured in iron, we find two models:
* with horizontal flywheel control (pumps);
* with round button knob on the right, near the top.

The mechanism consists of two flyweights driven by the centrifugal force of the steering wheel that raises the valve of the drinking water system. The pressure of these pipes thus increases the water at the tap.

The distributed water is universally drinkable.
