FR Sur la place des Ormeaux de Manosque, on peut voir cette fontaine.
Le bassin, octogonal, accueille en son centre un pilier carré.
De deux côtés opposés du pilier coule l'eau, au-dessus de deux barres de métal où l'on peut poser son arrosoir, sa carafe ou tout autre contenant destiné à accueillir l'eau.
Cette fontaine n'est pas celle d'origine, qui, comme en témoigne une carte postale de 1950 était alors ronde. Le pilier était surmonté d'une boule et une plus petite fontaine en fonte permettait de nourrir un animal.
EN On the Place des Ormeaux in Manosque, you can see this fountain.
The octagonal basin accommodates a square pillar in its center.
Water flows from two opposite sides of the pillar, above two metal bars where you can put your watering can, carafe or any other container intended to receive water.
This fountain is not the original one, which, as evidenced by a postcard from 1950, was round at the time. The pillar was topped with a ball and a smaller cast iron fountain was used to feed an animal.
