The little church of St Philip and St James was built in 1874 to the design of H I Stevens, although the designs must have been made before Steven's death in 1873. The stone font is located at the west end of the church.

A plain octagonal font with bevelled top edge, standing on a thick octagonal pillar. It does not appear ancient, and is presumably contemporary with the building of the church.
