We went up a small hill to view the ISS. The ISS rose in the southwest shortly after the moon and Venus sank from sight together. A tree caused us to not see the ISS until 22:50 - about a minute after after it officially rose. It traveled into the northwestern sky to a maximum altitude of 64º with a magnitude of -3.4 at 22:52:37 CDT and disappeared into the haze in the northeast just at 22:55:58. Along the way it made a close pass to the bright star Arcturas (see Gallery SkyView lite screenshot).

theHostas was clouded out in Michigan with an anticipated high pass of 72º at 23:55:39 EDT, mag. -3.6.

The distance from Edmond, OK to Holland, MI was 888 mi (3 min., 2 sec. = 3.03 min.) x 293 mi/min. = 888 mi.
