On July 4th, 2020 the Christopher Columbus statue in Baltimore was removed by protesters and subsequently dragged and dropped into the Inner Harbor. I took my photos in December 2018 before the statue was removed. Officials are planning to return it.

On July 4, 2020, the monument was destroyed by protesters and dumped into the Baltimore Harbor as a part of monuments and memorials that have been removed during the George Floyd protests."
