Doijer & Van Deventer a former fine liquor brewery.
Founded in 1814 at another location in Zwolle but moved here in 1866.
Located here for over 100 years, when an even larger building was built that was also better accessible than this location in the city center.
The years 1814 and 1866 are a reminder of the establishment and the move here.
After the war the company also introduced "Red Berry", a good and tasty fruit wine. This product caught on, selling about a hundred thousand bottles annually. Another successful product was the brand '1814', under which name domestic spirits were sold.
In this large building there is now a supermarket, called "Spar".
